Hi! My name is Julia and I am a Falmouth University, Illustration BA(Hons) graduate, based in Cornwall.  I have so many interests it's hard to keep track, but my main hobbies include avid film watching, animals of any kind (living on a farm has its advantages of space for all, ranging from cats to horses), bookbinding, writing, and especially musical theatre. 

 

I am a member of several local amateur dramatic societies, ranging from cabaret events to the award-winning production of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Minack Theatre in Porthcurno.  My favourite part has to be when I played the leading lady in West Side Story (2019) alongside my fiance.

I have currently been part of an amazing collaborative project called (Re)Start, alongside other talented illustrators. This graphic novel is now available on Amazon.

I am currently working as a freelance illustrator and am writing a YA fantasy novel with the hopes to publish and illustrate it myself (when I find the time to finish it). My favourite things to illustrate are women, magic, creatures from myths and fantasy, fairytales, and my own characters from my works of writing (whether they've made it into the written word or are still stuck in my brain).
