About Me

Julia is an Illustrator and Author based in Cornwall. She has a BA(Hons) in Illustration from Falmouth University, graduating in 2020 during the pandemic.

 

During her years at University, she gained one of 12 places in the St Austell Print Company’s in-house calendar competition out of over 40 applicants. She was also awarded second place in the FPF University Student’s Book Cover Design Prize (overseen by Blackwell’s bookshop).

 

Julia has since gone on to publish a collaborative comic/graphic novel of which she is credited as an illustrator and co-author. This book was launched in London 2021 and is now available to purchase worldwide.

 

Julia was also an exhibitionist in Dark Cornwall’s ‘Cornish Folklore Art Exhibition’ held in May 2025.

 

Since 2023, Julia has been the graphic designer for a local performing arts charity, where she has produced marketing assets and brochures for the world renowned outdoor theatre, The Minack Theatre (Porthcurno), The Regal Theatre (Redruth), and the Hall For Cornwall (Truro).

 

Julia has a keen interest in comics, graphic novels, and illustration in children’s books, fantasy, and horror. Her favourite novels are the Phantom of the Opera and 101 Dalmations.
